The view re Cochlear is interesting...I can see the upside very well but how it might manifest isn't that clear to me. I can see a clearer upside to an arrangement with Sonova and/or Widex. I think both are progressive Cos and showing a clear adoptive approach to our tech.
My personal preference and strong inclination favours Sonova...but the others aren't exactly small fry are they?

I'm also wondering if positions are being taken up in anticipation of information/discussions we aren't privy to concerning one of these goliaths?

Again merely speculating...but if it proves correct and I think the smoke signals are all over this...well...we havn't seen anything yet SP wise. Fingers crossed.
