Cochlear implants are not traditional hearing aids. They require a passive device to be surgically implanted in the ear that interface directly with the auditory nerve sending signals to the brain. A rechargable device then sits on the outside which wirelessly powers and sends signal to the implanted device. They can cure people who are completely deaf. We are not selling to the same customers as Cochlear however they may like to do a joint venture or make a substantial investment in Nuheara and share some of their R&D (speech processing etc) with us. It would also open up doors for us if this was to happen although I'm sure the Nuheara management have shown they don't need any help so I'm not fussed.
