    With the advent of textile factories during the industrial revolution in the UK , the mostly female workers would all learn to lip read in order to carry on conversations, the noise of the machinery being so great. Lip reading technology may soon be an adjunct to current hearing aid products judging by the progress being made. Remember Hal?
