Australia doesn't have a carbon tax, neither does the USA. I fail to see how the government's of those two contries propagate a conspiracy theory whilst publicly denying it.
You're convinced that people only believe in anthropogenic climate change because they can continue to make money or gain power if they do.
I'm trying to point out that there are people who make money and maintain power if they can convince people that anthropogenic climate change isn't real.
Your point is equally valid for both sides of this arguement.
