There has been considerable debate in the public arena in recent weeks and months about AGL's decision to shut down its Liddell Power Station, which appears to be reasonably meaningful issue for the energy generation sector, particularly in NSW.
Given that the Australian Greens have been at the forefront of pushing for a comprehensive transformation of national energy policy, I would have expected them to be making a contribution to the public discussion relating to Liddell.
Unfortunately, they seem to have been somewhat reserved and muted on this issue, so I am trying to locate any utterances or announcements from any Greens leaders about the Liddell situation.
I would appreciate it if anyone could point out any sources of recent Greens public commentary on this subject.
Last week I sent an e-mail to the Australian Greens with the same request, but am yet to receive a reply.
