When graphene becomes a ktpa market there’s little doubt that it will step up the ladder of priorities. From what I understand the carbon focus is for now more so targeted at the mass tonnage high value battery and electrode grade graphite.
While graphene is a high value product the sheer number of market entrants competing for a currently low tonnage demand will creates a high risk environment for market entrants.
Hazer have published in their IP documents information which clearly shows they can selectively create graphene so when the market is of a suitable scale it’s likely that they will be looking for penetration.
The other morphologies able to be selectively produced are carbon nanotubes, carbon nano onions and carbon micro spheres. Again each of these unique carbon forms have a select market, most experiencing significant growth.

CNT’s for instance are finding increasing applications in the enhanced material space with concrete and plactic reinforcement beginning to grow into large ktpa scale markets.
CNO’s still have limited applications but are being investigated heavily due to their properties which make them an ideal material in some medical applications as well as super capacitors.
In time there seems very little will stand in the way of Hazer entering these markets however for now the heavy lifting in creating demand is ideally left to others. Once it’s established we should have the ability to significantly undercut other producers.
