The THX area sitting in the southern Garden Gully claim area "Granite Well" is one I have been closely following since a local Meeka prospector told me stories of some very good gold found in that area.
When Westgold picked up the claim "Sabbath" from a prospector on the northern boundary of Granite Well I have followed with interest the exploration reports by THX.
13th Sept 16, THX tested inferred mineralisation zone trending NE marked by shallow historical drilling. All 3 holes drilled intersected low grade gold mineralisation.. Best 31m ar 0.032gt au from 71 to 102m.
In Feb 17 in a report THX reconfirmed that a deep DHEM conductor sitting below the mineralised shear zone.
At the Fremantle RIU Explorers Conferance I had a talk with one of THX Geo's about Granite Well.
In summary, there is a very strong DHEM conductor showing that is about 300m below the old workings. This conductor was thought to either be shale of hopefully some other body that could be the source of the anomalous gold above.
A Deep hole was drilled but missed the conductor. There was no indication in the core samples that shale is present in the surrounds. So the composition of this conductor is still unexplained.
THX are now in the next week of so going to send down a probe to "down hole EM" to see just where the conductor is sitting In relation to the drill hole. If possible they can re-enter to the hole and wedge off to intersect the conductor.
The best outcome for THX would be if the conductor is the main source of the anomalous gold found above.
