I went to my GP today to get a specialist referral. He said that some only want 6 monthly referrals and not indefinite ones. Why? Because at the end of a referral you become a new patient again and not a continuing one. They make more money with a new patient. What a rip-off!
I shall shop around methinks.
My GP asked me which I wanted. I said an indefinite one even though the specialist concerned didn't like them.
We shall see what happens.
