Teaching international students (those few that ever came to class) I once had a Chinese student that had purchased a frozen Yogurt franchise in one of Melbourne's most expensive shopping centers. One day she came to me with the lease contract asking if I'd review it for her (over 50 pages). I suggested that she was best to take it to a lawyer to review but she did not. I asked her what the cost of goods was s she could do a proper budget. She had no idea.
I often walk past the shop and there are few customers and there is no way that the business is profitable. Talking to her about this her reply was "I get PR soon then family happy they can come too"
