I got a shock when I saw that $105m ASL shares changed hands today, but over $101m of those @ $2.72 p/s were part of a cross trade before the market opened, so that would be the MD's parcel.

Looking at the course of sales today there was a lot of bot trading throughout the day to drag the SP down with three $140k trades going through around 3.20 PM when presumably the accumulators were satisfied with a $2.735 SP. After the great half yearly results I expect that we could see the SP manipulated for quite some time, because presumably institutions may now want a bigger piece of ASL. It would be interesting to see who is doing the buying over the last week, as well as the coming 3 or 4 weeks. A stagnant or retracing SP might be a short term frustration for holders, but longer term I think it is likely to drive the SP significantly higher when the accumulators have had their fill. Hopefully the MD's parcel at $2.72 has set a bottom, but perhaps that is just wishful thinking on my part.

@8horse , would you be able to post some periodic broker data on the ASL forum perhaps starting from the beginning of last week? Thanks in advance if you happen to read this.
