    I have found shorting the open on a Monday a very bad idea.

    Interestingly i tried to switch my superfund to shares on a wednesday when i had timing for a low. The person at the fund informed me they only adjusted the makeup of the fund on a Monday morning so the shares would not be purchased until the following Monday.
