In soccer they usually have a buy out option. Might be a couple of years wages. League players just seem to go to management and start crying. I guess if you want to change teams it should cost you plenty. No good paying somebody whose heart is elsewhere. To me whoever negotiated these stupid contracts should realise this option is always a possibly.
