Yes that is correct but that 6.1% stake in PRU accounts for only 0.50% in their GDXJ portfolio. It is the same for all their gold stocks in their GDXJ for example- they own 11%+ EVN shares in the actual company but this accounts for only a little over 4% in their GDXJ portfolio. Back in March to June 2017 Van Eck dropped their 15% ownership of PRU to around 5% and it sank from around 70 cents to 30 cents. The impact was huge on the SP and it was all legal and they announced it too. It was called a ‘re balancing of their GDXJ fund’. So many of their gold stock holdings in all companies around the world that they put into their GDXJ portfolio got hit. That's why I am glad PRU is small fry at the moment in Van Eck's GDXJ.
