The parliamentary inquiry was nearly a month ago and it was mainly due to the 7 eleven franchise, RFG knew there was issue last year and are doing an independent business review, what are the others doing?
And if the CA is due to some franchisees struggling (due to rising rental and declining retail market which RFG can't control), I am sure RFG have an iron-clad contract in place.......what about the DK and CP revenue in UK and GJ revenue in Germany due in H2, conveniently not mentioned by you?????

The operation and effectiveness of the Franchising Code of Conduct

On 22 March 2018, the Senate referred an inquiry into the operation and effectiveness of the Franchising Code of Conduct to the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services for report by 30 September 2018.

The committee welcomes individual stories that may identify widespread issues and recommendations for reform. The committee's powers allow it to report to Parliament with recommendations for changes to legislation, regulation and government policy. The committee is not able to investigate or resolve individual disputes.

If you do wish to inform the committee about a franchising dispute, please identify in your submission whether your dispute has been or may be considered by:

• any of the following bodies or a mediation adviser appointed or referred by:
• the Office of the Franchising Mediation Adviser; or
• the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman; or
• a local, state or territory Small Business Commissioner; or
• the Dispute Resolution Adviser if the matter relates to the Oil Code of Conduct;
• the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission; or
• a court; or
• any other dispute resolution body.

If you make adverse comment about individuals in your submission, the committee may reject such evidence or offer a right of reply.

Submissions close on 4 May 2018.

I'm not after direct answers but I'm curious to see which shareholders bought yesterday, a month ago, a week ago ? With a stock like this just WHEN IS the time to buy, unless you are a trader with nerves of steel ?
Are you saying that after an 11% price increase today, that today is a good time to buy ? Or with the benefit of hindsight was that yesterday ? And what of tomorrow or next week ?
And what about next month IF the stock falls another 10-15%, is then going to be a good time to buy ? And at what point is it NOT going to be a good stock to buy ? At some point holders are going to run out of available capital to buy more, or their losses are going to be such that even they are unwilling to risk more capital. As a disclosed non holder with an undeclared sentiment, I would be recommending a sit and wait position, possibly for months until things are clearer. But what would I know ? signed... Investor rather than Trader.
