There is an excellent peter lynch video on you tube which everyone should watch......just type peter lynch into the search......its old and grainy and goes for nearly an hour but has copious pearls of wisdom in it..........in that video he speaks about the time to buy a turnaround........and you are right .....its not at the catching a falling knife stage like this one is but after the turnaround is confirmed.........its better to pay 2 dollars for a stock and watch is go to 4 than it is to pay 90c for a stock and watch it go to zero
