I don't see the US allowing for that to continue going forward, if they had a means to use existing Uranium sitting in the US right now in the form of Used Nuclear Fuel and at the same time fix it's nuclear supply, waste problems and also proliferation problems without having to purchase one more ounce of Uranium for a very long time, don't people think they will go for that?

The Russians are also starting to reclaim Uranium from used nuclear fuel as well and they intend to use it in their form of Generation four reactors, the only problem I see in Russia doing this sort of thing compared to the US is that Russia has very few constraints, their safety record is abysmal, just recently they had a nuclear accident which they wouldn't own up to, that was in one of their fuel production plants I believe?

The US on the other hand has a very good nuclear record, but perhaps they are a bit much over the top with some of their regulations?

The US has some decisions to make in this area I believe and soon, that's if they still want to remain in the nuclear business as leaders in that field.
