A stupid driver who crashed the raised bed of his dump truck, into the superstructure of the Burlington Skyway bridge, in Ontario, Canada in 2014. He was charged with dangerous driving and sentenced to one year in jail, plus a three year driving ban. The bridge was severely damaged and had to be shut down for several days, for temporary repairs to be made. Permanent repairs to the bridge structure, took seven months at the cost of 1.2 million dollars. The bridge is a crucial link between the Greater Toronto Area and the Niagara Peninsula, which borders upstate New York. It carries about 80,000 vehicles a day.
