I was not having a go at you Taurisk about pealed onions. That honour goes straight to the lintel man who advocates liquid smoke and dustings of truffles. I once did have a slab of that palm sugar which I used to grate until 10 years or so probably passed, and I just got fed up with grating that slab of "palm sugar". I suspect it will outlive in some landfill tip.......
