    Australia has 9 million households, a continuos output 2.5 mega watt turbine can power 1500 homes.
    A constant output to power all homes in Australia would require 6000 turbines.

    To supply electricity to industrial, agriculture,transport, mining and construction is ten times the residential power requirements.

    To power Australia by wind power will require over 60,000 turbines. Now what if the wind stops or falls below the nominal 24 kph to produce full output.

    To be safe the amount of a full Australia wide grid would need three to four times the wind turbines at strategic locations.

    We may be looking at 250,000 wind turbines to supply the country.
