The reason I started this thread asking for real numbers rather than opinions is that I made an effort to ask and find what the real numbers are that is hurting Myer. Not many on here could explain in numbers.

Plenty had Opinions and I had my opinions, But I wanted real Numbers so I could decide to either buy more or sell out.

I was out trying to get in lower again, but Ive decided not to re-enter yet. So heres the real part of the numbers noone has mentioned.

Myer last year had about 69m net profit in the first half and then only posted 69m for the year total.

What that means is now its about 40m net profit for the first half, so based on that even if sales stay flat without falling the second half wont hold water.

First half net profit down 29m, means 2nd half will be down 29m. But the 2nd half last year didnt add a dollar to the first half.

So if the 2nd half is also down 29m the full year could be 40m - 29m = 11m and thats before any new myer spending.

Im sorry but its worse than I realised from a numbers perspective. The entire structure of Myer needs to be taken over, there isnt anything a new CEO could do here.

The best step they could take is to Computerise all the admin to be done like an app software, and unload most of the back end admin staff to cut costs.

Anything could happen but as a guess looks like the dip will continue until its taken over IMO.

Fully agree. I only see Myer going further south. I really do wonder why anyone would hold this stock when its results and future prospects are so bleak. There are so many stocks with better prospects.
