In the past I'm certain this company was openly boasting about its use of Neodymium magnets, but recently I've been unable to find anything of the sort.
They've been making marine propulsion units for awhile and OEM units for large construction vehicles.
Small private Finnish company, but they managed to hook up with TECO (top 5 motor manufacturers, Taiwanese) to further develop what they call Synchronous Reluctance-Assisted Permanent Magnet Motors, for which they also have introduced yet another acronym (SRPM). great.
The bus motor idea only came through very recently and while they did have some agreement with a Finnish bus company, they have since been bought by Danfoss, a conglomerate in Denmark.
BOTTOM LINE: They almost certainly use NdFeB magnets, because all their motors are liquid-cooled (water/glycol), kept at 65C and come with a warning that they will be de-rated if the temperature is exceeded. That's even below the 80C typical temperature, so these are probably Dy-free magnets.
I would love to see some NdFeB momentum in the Marine Propulsion market - or any Heavy Duty market. Personal aviation requires both high power and light-weighting. Construction equipment is not so unlike robotics.
Not pinning my hopes on this sector, though I keep my eyes open. Appreciate all contributions from the group.
