Although I have long ago given up on investing around the timing of "news flow" because I have found that to be a bit of a fool's errand (well, most likely because of the particular fool involved, who was proven to be not particularly good at it).
Instead, what I have found works for me is to have a laser-like focus on fundamental valuation, and the determinants of that valuation. My experience is that if I do that properly, the things that are indeterminate - such as "news flow" timing - tend to take care of themselves, and become irrelevant over time.
"Even if they hire a new CEO, he won't be like the one that was there for 15+yrs. New CEOs tend to come in - write more things off so they can start afresh and start to surprise on the upside, so if anything there could be some more bad info to come out."
Sure, possibly. But the more important question, I think, is whether that is already factored into the share price, given the stock's valuation multiples today.
Based on precedent, this has the hallmarks of one of those "Sell-the-Rumour; Buy-the-Fact" situations.

I am not too sure it advisable take one's investing cues on the basis what other investors are doing, even ones that do it for a living.
Have a look at all the substantial shareholder notices over the past 2 years: you will find a number of high-profile institutional investors - all with "good figures" and all of whom it can be said that they "know what they are doing" - buying Isentia at prices much higher than today's.
Even your respected Spheria Asset Management first started buying the shares at a price of $1.50, so....
