Looks to be opportunistic shorting based on technicals and uncertainty over future plans/competitors.

It is a little surprising people are willing to short at the current price, there is huge risk to them if it breaks to the upside from here.

Some people are inherently short-minded though, and are happy to do it. Watch for them to panic sell as much as they can to prevent a close above $6.00 - if this happens you may see a bit of a squeeze.
