Because its a fact the AFL isn't interested in being fair.
So all the finals are worked on the premises of being fair - so we have through out the home and away games - the hard work of finishing higher on the ladder is rewarded with the teams receiving home ground advantages for finals because its the fair thing to do and it gives incentive - then they make total fools of themselves in the fair stakes school of thought by not applying the same fair rule to the most important game - for christ sake its one game how much money do they lose? the afl should come clean and just say we know its not fair but we don't care we're interested in money full stop. Then at least we all know where they stand which is a given anyway.
