What a dirty, stinking, rotten culture - to perpetuate this cover-up and throw one guy under the bus.

Sutherland raced over there to put the lid on this, keep Lehmann right where he is, and cauterize the wound by singling out 3 players......well actually one guy in fact - the others will be rehabilitated as just dumbly following 'the bad egg'.

Did Warner tamper with the ball, then stick the sandpaper down his daks? No.

Was he the national captain who green-lit the plan & stood next to Bancroft while he bullshirted the umpires? No.

Was he the national coach who got on the walkie-talkie to Handscomb and told him to tell Bancroft he'd been rumbled and to hide the sandpaper down his undies? No.

Did he hold a gun to Smith and Bancrofts head and force them to carry out 'his' dastardly plan? No.

I 100% agree with the below comment made on the SMH website, but I don't know how a team of bullshirters led by the 'Boof' who presided over this entire culture is going to carry on blithely knowing they have thrown one guy under the bus & sheeted it all back to him. I'd say the Aussie team is going to be ****ed in the head for a good while to come. The interesting thing is: will Warner keep quiet? When he realises he is the patsy for this whole debacle, will he spill his guts? At this point, what does he have to lose?
