I don't think they did anything against the rules on Dargento. On paper the race is a small field with a lack of pace on a day where it was an advantage to lead on the fence. Under those circumstances going to the front are the right tactics for Dargento. There's no question that adopting the tactics also disadvantage Benbatyl (and advantage Winx in the process) but Dargento would be entitled to be ridden that way if it wasn't one of Waller's....so it has to be entitled to be ridden that way when it is one of Waller's.
