This post is what I can remember from what I have been analysing which was very interesting.

I was reading an article posted on one of the CLA threads and I can't seem to locate it. It is in regards to CLA and had some interest capex figures for another project that was laterite Ni-Co based in the PNG that is currently producing.

Resource was around 49mt at x% Nickel and 0.09% Cobalt. Capex for this project was $1.2B so some massive numbers to add to costs.

This goes to the Sulphide versus laterite debate regarding propability of CLA moving towards production. Such a big capex number will absolutely scare the market as the underlying listed entity has a very very slim chance of making it to production or the alternative is to go through heavy dilution.

ARL's announcement today highlights this. ($590m is a significant sum and requires a much higher and suatained underlying Cobalt commodity price, I baulked at this figure when I had a quick look at the ARL announcement today)

Being able to demonstrate cost effective development and move to production with solid commercial resource, SS and PFS is critical to realise and build share holder value.
