Actually not quite right. both had to be trucked all the way to LA for proper disposal. This was because of the recover system that constantly clogged shutting down the plant. If you are referring to when the plant was owned pre MCP you are correct.
Again you seem to be thinking that I am pushing MCP and seem to think that if I even state the name I must be pushing it. I will say again, I do not know how many times, Mt K is dead and buried. If the sale ever gets out of the courts I am sure Start up will be difficult and take several years, so there will be plenty of time to think about it. I learned allot owning MCP there are many good examples. Why do you insist on kicking a dead horse.
I made many times more money on MCP ( both % and total $) than I made on Lynas. I bought at the IPO and more at SPO sold most in the 60s bought puts in the 70S . Still believed then in MCP as well as Lynas, at that time just knew REE prices could not be sustained and that stocks was way too high based on REE prices.
I lost long term belief in Lynas when I saw how NC was managing the company. In many ways the same thing can be said about Smith and MCP.
