The disabled athletes are truly an inspiration to every one of us.
I saw in The Australian the other day a photograph ( I will try to post it ) of a fellow named John Coutis who is a double amputee and who was then carrying the Queen's Baton. As I looked at the photo I was so very much in awe of this man's enormous courage.
As you say, those people less -abled than most and who shine forth in such extraordinary resilience and determination in these Games( and soon the Invictus Games ) are people whose courage and character are a lesson for all of us both abled and less -abled and who surely put to shame any of us who may think what we face is too much.
Truly, these disabled athletes offer us all a lesson in life and courage.
