Hansen work back in the eighties was calibrated against the Land and Ocean temperature data of the day.
His model and forcing were based on work from the early eighties. based on that his work was so far overcooked it was not funny.
The decadal trend back then was 1/2 of what it is now and all due to human intervention with data manipulation.
(apart from the shift in the mid 90s)
You cannot honestly say that Hansen had a model that worked then and apply it now!
he had returns of 4.2'C per doubling of Co2 which has been further reduced since by the IPCC.
He allowed for fixed ocean currents. Our ocean currents are always changing and even NOW warmist are blaming CO2 for the reduction in the AMOC.
he assumed many things that I guarantee are no longer applicable!
His calibration and hindcasting would not come close to resembling what has happened now.
