How ironical is that! The oil and gas industry, which is being rapidly replaced by renewables, also needs cobalt. An excellent find PG.

Some of the HC community might know that one of China's long-term goals is to be the market (and technological) leader in industrial robotics, as well as and electronics, metal alloys and aircraft parts. These are integral to a key industrial programme, Made in China 2025, released by the Chinese government. (source: Guardian newspaper 5 April 2018). No surprise to note that all of these industries need a lot of cobalt.

It will be interesting to see what future price cobalt forecasts are used by CLA when they ultimately assess the feasibility of the project. In my view they can only go up, at least for the next 5 years or more.

BB's good work is now starting to pay dividends for we shareholders. My thanks go out to BB for turning my investment in CLA into a sizeable retirement nest egg.

As BB has previously flagged in a recent interview with BusinessLive on 5 March 2018, one option would be for CLA to even farm out this project once feasibility and size of resource was confirmed "There may come an opportunity at some time to divest the project and we certainly have an open mind on that" he is reported as saying). That's fine with me, as it won't be stopping the share price going up even further.
