To be honest, I don't think BB had a choice, did he ?
ASX didn't exactly ask him if he wanted to hold off releasing the SS in it's original form... they told him that he would have to convince them that the numbers could be substantiated or it would be redacted... and when he could not substantiate it to their satisfaction... it was redacted.
