Well, i'll be honest, i initially only heard they were speaking to Japanese trading houses. And at that time, i thought there would be no chance in hell that they'd get an offtake from the Japanese. CKA capacity is too small for what they typically consider, security of supply is an issue for Jap mills and Japanese analysts love highlighting every single little risk in the Exec Summ and the river level issues would have been raised and discussed to death at every project update.
I have recently been able to confirm that the demographics of current parties is weighted towards Asian and South East Asian suitors rather than to Japan. I am of the view that the successful offtake partner will be another massive market cap company most people have never heard of (like Renjian) but be sufficiently cashed up (also like Renjian).
