Completely with you home1, I would certainly appreciate public announcements direct from the Company (thereby being able to hold them accountable for whatever they are stating to the market). But I'm also aware of where management are currently at, and that is spending their time negotiating the term sheets with regards to upfront financing and an offtake and in my opinion, this supersedes the river issues they have been facing; getting the second spot sale delivered; and getting mining rates to capacity.
The funding and offtake let's them start a new clean slate and this time round, proper mine planning for the volatile river levels. So if it is between them nutting out this deal ASAP and providing updates to the market, i rather resources being spent on the former. The impression i get is that CKA management believe investors have short term memories and that as long as they get a deal, then all will be forgiven - i get this feeling particularly after seeing how they use trading halts (prior to AGMs, prior to poor quarterly results) to distract investors. And honestly, if they can get an offtake and a good financing arrangement, then i'm not really phased by the recent month of silence. I'm hoping that they will be vindicated before the end of this month..
