This would explain why SXY has failed to make any serious upward movement. Granted, it appears to have broken out of its recent trading range, with $0.40 appearing to be the new floor. But what happens if the STO deal doesn't proceed? Could this encourage more punters to pour into SXY given there is M&A activity afoot? Or could it break SXY's seemingly new floor and push it back down to $0.36 (or even $0.32)?
