The article is not written from an objective standpoint, Freedman is a rabid interventionist. He doesn't care if a CW attack occurred or not, he simply wants the intervention above all else. He wishes that it occurred, he argues that it occurred, because he wants the intervention. He then completely mixes up two unrelated events, an actual school shooting tragedy which we know did occur objectively, due to the dead and wounded pupils, with an alleged gas attack where, whatever sketchy evidence was presented, has been demolished by real independent journalists like Robert Fisk, and many others.
The Guardian is not "Lefty", it used to be mildly liberal but its entirely pro war now.
