Its just a successful strategy in our society to get to the top of the tree.
If it wasn't it would have died out, people would employ other strategies.
As it stands now, reward outweighs the risk.
As long as society continues to reward this behavior it will continue.
If you want it to change, the risk reward ratio needs to be changed
