Side note . I have a good friend who was an amp advisor when he started out in the industry . He didn't give details because he out of respect for his firm, but he when he left he said he would never work at amp again. He said any advice business that pushes an approved products list is fundamentally conflicted. He said people should look to independent advisors if they want non conflicted advice. They exist, but there aren't many of them. If you look at licencing requirements , it seems like Asic favours the big boys who are fronting the royal commission rather than individual advisers who aren't governed by the big boys
