    Company directors are often useless parasites who do what they can to protect, or raise, their director fees rather than act in the interest of shareholders. If it was a condition of employment for directors to have 100% of their net worth in the company they "serve" you'd see what real corporate governance looks like. Unfortunately being a director is a job for many, and a job they don't want to lose by rocking the boat in the interest of shareholders .
