I've said something about this elsewhere.
A cursory glance through its faculties and courses on offer are enough to convince me of its purpose - that is, the indoctrination of generations of students in the values of globalism, world government, destruction of the concept of national sovereignty, promotion of mass immigration etc etc.
In other words the vision pushed by George Soros and his plethora of NGOs.
He funds the institution. Its CEO denies though that Soros has any influence over its academic direction. I believe that as much as I believe the Pope is a Catholic.
Guessing that the CEU's future in Hungary is now doubtful with an Orban majority govt, there is talk of it being moved to Vienna. I hope the populist Austrian govt won't be suckered into that by the promise of Soros money. They will be buying themselves long term trouble as the CEU turns out cohorts of vocal opposition to its policies year after year.
In an open letter in Politico Europe today, a group of academics &etc has attacked the Hungarian govt for promoting anti -semitism in attacking the policies of Soros because he was an Hungarian Jew, now he is a US citizen.
This kind of attack will continue because 1. Soros can buy whatever spokespeople he wants, including the Brussels bureaucracy at the highest levels, 2. Orban's govt is a galvanising force in opposition to the goals of Soros and his NGOs.
