We should take great confidence that a FBR/CAT deal will get done. They gave themselves 12 months to get it finalised. There must be a huge amount of details and considerations to be included in there. Such as how much of CAT's overheads get costed into the production of HX, or is it fixed price for production and if it is fixed price, then are there any rules on what parts can be changed out to save costs and blah blah blah.
Either party can break the MOU in writing yet neither has done it. They are now 9 months in to the 12 months and neither party has backed out. If FBR thought it was going nowhere, they would have backed out so that they could start negotiating with Deere, Volvo, Komatsu... or one of the dozens of others.
BUT They haven't and neither has CAT. The deal is gettting done, they gave themselves 12 months and they are still on-track.
