A lot of talk on this thread about Pivacs and whether they are smart enough or good business men etc, but don't get fooled into thinking it's only them at the table with CAT senior management and they're going to get blindsided or talk themselves out of deal through lack of experience.
Remember they've appointed Mark Sheridan as General Manager of Operations, who "worked at Holden Limited for fifteen years where he served as Engineering and Global Program Manager and as Chief Engineer and Director of Engineering Operations". He's also got a Masters in Business Management and I'm sure he would've sat at many a table that resembles the one between CAT and Fastbrick. When it comes to the monthly progress meetings between them (if that's still case), I wouldn't be surprised if Mark took the helm and relayed the info back to the Pivacs, as they would be smart and humble enough to delegate this role if their experience was in fact lacking.
Out of all the staff they've acquired, he's probably been their best snag to date, and I've got great faith he's going to be the one to lead the Pivacs to the promised land... aka $1 which is when I buy some kind of beach house and dune buggy combo![]()
