I have next to no knowledge of the law in this regard, but I imagine they have sought legal advice on the issue. I assume it’s fair play as it’s an anonymous site. If you were to type something nasty about me, for example, no one would know to whom it was directed or from where it came. As you say, they do mod such posts, and perhaps that’s all they are required to do.
Either way, I find it fascinating that anyone would get upset over something said about them by a random, faceless person online. The kind of person who would say such things would likely lack the spine to say it to a person’s face. I’m of the kind that this is the kind of opinion that should be completely disregarded, but maybe that’s just me.
