My comments in this post are of a personal nature and in no shape, way or form represents HC rules/policy or anything else that anyone could care to add.
Bullying is a deplorable part of human nature. I could say I fight it whenever I see it but I don’t.
I’m as guilty as every other person that walks this earth of bullying. I try my best to stop the blatant, vulgar, bullying when I see it here on HC and in the real world.
I’m a realist, as I have understood for a long time that it is part of being human ( sadly).
My only answer to the question of bullying anywhere is what I tell my children when one gets upset by their siblings.
Don’t show the buggers that it hurts you!!!
That’s what they want!
Same deal on HC or in any other situation, in the real world.
Expecting others to help is fair enough but the reality is that only the person copping it knows how much it hurts and only they can rectify the situation.
I can get one kid to say sorry to the other but do you think the apology would be sincere?
I’ve been trying to instill this fact into my 3 children as it’s a part of the reality of life.
Expecting others to protect them or laws to be mandated to stop the abuse is about as realistic as the Brady Bunch.
