Cheers for the link Musky. It was a good read, albeit it may have caused some small trauma through my attempting to understand all the geo terminology.

Suffice to say, I was very interested to see this two maps:



Its really interesting to see that the report views the Ungani Trend as highly prospective (although I think most holders already believe that). 7 Wells have discovered oil (not commercially, but.... proving source is across the play). I believe @bhutos has in the past discussed the Cowbore result. The rest of the wells have been drilled by BRU.

7 wells - Cowbore, Praslin, UFW, Ungani, Ungani 3/5 (I am assuming this), Ungani North and Senagi.



Oh, I had to dig around to find this, but it clearly shows that even back in 2014, Eric had a sleuthed out the trend fairly well (a real shame they have not been able to provide the market with another graph like this, especially since a lot more 3D seismic has occurred, airborne gravity, plus many more wells, some successful like UFW, some cored etc).




btw - This is totally ignoring Pictor, which sadly, may never get its due focus due to it being so much further to the south (but two wells found oil and wet gas), with contingent resources delineated.



I also find it interesting that they include Roebuck as a prospect, yet for now, BRU has chosen to not include it in any farmouts (only going from the company presentations). I have given up looking for the reference that I seem to have stuck in the back of my mind, however I believe it is one of the structures close to the highway, to the west.

I also note that they discuss the incredibly high porosity of 50% which, so far has only occurred in Ungani, however we don't have the full results from Ungani FW, but.... my guess is it will be very similar.
From the conclusions, I gather the Canning still has a few mysteries crack, but... hopefully 2018 will be the year it occurs.

@jophda - Interesting to note that 93 of the 300 or so wells were drilled just in the Lennard shelf, leaves very few for an Area almost the size of Texas, which from what I have searched, has had 1.67m wells drilled as of 2014. Ah how I wish Apache had signed up for a real drill program in the Canning before the oil price crash....arg! btw - Approx 40% of my portfolio is BRU, so we are either brilliant, or daft
