The attachment below my chart from investopedia that you refereed to was more intended for the text it contains. Yes the image example is quite different. I've attached an image below from a google search which demonstrates an ascending neckline and a higher right shoulder. If your interested google, images of head & shoulder patterns, you'll see there are many variations of the pattern, no two are the same but if completed (neckline broken) they all break down. I would agree with you that maybe sentiment concerning the current fundamentals of the company, is what dictates the slope of the neck line and height of the shoulders but the overall shape as it becomes completed is considered bearish.
All just my opinion, I'm no licensed expert, just here to learn and share any knowledge I have.
Someone else could look at it completely differently and then there are some who think TA is rubbish, each to there own.
