I do not expect any loss of sales momentum as they are essentially addressing two different markets where some of the players may graduate to the chip when it is economic to do so.
BS and BA are addressing the video analytics market (surveillance $2.6 billion pa gaming $400 million pa). Partners and OEMs slowly being added as we go along
Akida is addressing the Neuromorphic chip market ($4.8 billion pa from 2022)
The BDK was always envisaged firstly using SNAP64 but the BDK was delayed to incorporate JAST and Spikenet technology following acquisition of Spikenet.
The strategy is test AKIDA with collaborators and sell BDK to those developers in Fortune 500 who want to build an embedded system using AKIDA chips and have the likely volume demand - they would pay a royalty which is envisaged in the business model. LDN has hinted a phone company was an early mover to licence or at least expressed an interest.
Maybe our advisory board would each take a BDK for a test drive as I recall BB hiring an intern to put together a list of all academic institutions using SNN in curriculum. Intel has already moved on this area with their academic collaborators.
Once the FPGA and BDK comes out we will know whether this is a winner or not just from the buzz that legitimises SNN as commercialised by BRN then the fun begins.
BS and BA is early revenue as we penetrate with partners a $3 billion pa SAM and move on a $4.8 billion pa SAM.
Getting 20% of that market makes BRN one hell of a big company in say 1-2 years.
