On reflection, their payment may be to have early access and the opportunity to play with the products and not only help develop the products, and their own internal knowledge and expertise, but also to develop their own uses of the products (BS, BA, AKIDA 1 and 2) to get their own companies geared up for use in the market 6-12 months or so ahead of their opposition.
