IQBuds Boost have a slightly different PCB (higher gain and other features) and different on board software. Otherwise same hardware configuration, so can be made on the same production line. I'd imagine that the cost of production for both IQBuds Boost and IQBuds are quite similar. The extra price for Boost is for the IP associated with the on board audio testing software.

IQBuds RRP = AUD$399
