i actually started the routine but stopped at the credit card stage as i wanted to have a look around the website.
anyway once i had filled out some details about 10 minutes later i got a call from an australian number (one of those phony overseas ones) and was introduced to a lovely lady who spoke in a strong philipino accent. my first question was (the company is uk based) what country are you in? england she says. i asked that twice as i am aware of many call agencies being housed in the philipines (and elsewhere) but not in the host country. anyway she went thro some details and i had to cut her short because it was clear that this was a rehearsed spiel and i was getting annoyed with her accent and her pushy attitude. spoke to her for a few more minutes (she was talking to me like i had never made a trade) and said goodbye.
5 minutes later another lady rang, same accent different shiela and a very brief conversation ensued then finished.
in all i had 7 calls with 4 going unanswered from 3 different numbers (at 14:23, 14:40, 14:40, 14:41) but clearly from the same outfit. 6 calls on sunday one the next day.
